The Thankful Project Day 27: A Simple Pleasure

The Thankful Project

For day 27 of The Thankful Project, our prompt is "a simple pleasure".

This was pretty easy for me to figure out! A simple pleasure that I am thankful for is reading. I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE to read!! I am an introvert, and I think that may have something to do with it. I love to communicate with words and I love that when I read, it's very easy for me to visualize the characters and "see" what it is that I am reading.

Dream Spaces: Kitchens

This week I am lusting over kitchens. I don't really cook- A does that, but I do love to dabble in baking! And as you all know from this post, I am itching to get into a house. So in the meantime, I look at images that inspire me and daydream about my dream spaces.

The Thankful Project Day 26: Criticism You've Received

The Thankful Project

Today's Thankful Project prompt is "criticism you've received".

The criticism that stands out the most to me is that "I am very quiet/too quiet and not very outgoing".  I have been hearing that I am quiet from at least elementary school and not very outgoing has reared its ugly head as an adult. In the beginning it hurt...a lot and was very difficult for me. To this day, it's still very much a challenge.

The Thankful Project Day 24: A Physical Trait You Have

The Thankful Project

Day 24-wow! I can't believe there are only four days left, the time has really flown by! Read more about The Thankful Project here. Today's prompt is "a physical trait you have".

I think this is a very interesting prompt! I have always thought growing up that my sisters are very beautiful -still do to this day! And, I've always been able to point out how other women are beautiful. But as I've gotten older, and this really started during my college years, I've realized my own physical beauty. The traits that I am thankful for are my eyes and my smile.

The Thankful Project Day 23: Something You've Seen

The Thankful Project
Today's prompt is "something you've seen".  I am thankful that I've had the opportunity to live where my parents grew up.

The Thankful Project Day 22: An Expectation

The Thankful Project

Today is day 22 of The Thankful Project! Today's prompt is "an expectation".

A Dream Workspace

Dream Workspace

Since I dream of working for myself, I also dream about my workspace. I posted what I'm currently working with here. Still a work in progress for sure! I currently live in an apartment and I can't wait until we have our own home where I have more freedom to style my space the way I want!

The Thankful Project Day 21: Something That's Easy to Take for Granted

The Thankful Project

The Thankful Project

I can't believe there are only 8 days left! There's still time to join the fun! Link up with Kenzie here.

The Thankful Project Day 18: A Choice

The Thankful Project

Today's prompt is about "a choice".

Let's see...I think the choice I am most thankful for is when I decided to move to Fort Worth, TX for a job. I had been in conversations with the Lord, had learned to be more grateful for what I already had-I told ya'll about that process here. That was sort of my start at learning how to be more faithful and to trust the plans that had already been laid out for me by Him.

Saturday at Craft-Tex

Liberty Church Christmas TreeSo, it's still November and I was trying to hold off on the Christmas posts until at least after Thanksgiving. Buuuuuuut, this weekend my wedding planner took us into Craft-Tex and oh my word!! I was in heaven!!

The Thankful Project Day 15: An Annoyance

The Thankful Project

Today’s Thankful Project prompt is “an annoyance”.  What annoys me…there is a lot that I’ve noticed since A and I have moved in together to save money before the wedding. And I can share this because I’ve told him how much it gets on my nerves so it won’t be a shock to him when he reads this!

My Week in Review

The Thankful Project Day 14: A Blessing

The Thankful ProjectToday’s thankful post is about a blessing. I think this is very timely because I’ve been feeling “unblessed” lately, even though my mind and heart know that is not the case. I think that I have a tendency to focus on the negative at times. And right now, my negative is my career because I am not where I want to be or doing something that I love.

The Thankful Project Day 13: An Ability

The Thankful Project

Today I decided to highlight multiple abilities that I am thankful for. I thought it would be especially good for me because of what I shared on Day 1 of The Thankful Project. And, I thought it would be cool to do an ability for each year of my life, to remind me that it is a blessing to be here, and that the struggles in this world will not last forever.

The Thankful Project Day 12: An Opportunity

The Thankful Project

Today's post is about an opportunity. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to further my education. My parents always told us for as far back as I can remember that we were going to college. So, when my senior year of high school came, I applied to several colleges and applied for financial aid and that was it! In the fall I started college at the place that is now my alma mater, PVAMU.

Hahaha!! These chicks crack me up!!

The Thankful Project Day 11: Something You Were Taught

The Thankful ProjectToday’s prompt was a little bit more challenging to write because I had to think of something I’ve been taught that I consider to be pretty significant. I couldn’t come up with anything. Nada. And then it came to me.

Pumpkin Pancakes

For fun, I decided to make pumpkin pancakes today!! And, A assisted by making some coconut oil syrup thingie-it was good!! I am not one of those from scratch people, so this was pumpkin mixed in with the pancake mix.

Spaces That Inspire

I really want to move. Like REALLY. I live in a fairly decent sized apartment. I have decent furniture and pretty good taste, so I like what I see when I come home everyday. But...I could make things look so much better! With the wedding literally around the corner, all my funds and any loose change I happen to find, are dedicated to this wedding. So for today's post, I thought I'd share some spaces I'm currently lusting over while I count down the days until we can finally leave this apartment and I can have fun decorating and styling our new home!

The Thankful Project Day 4: An Experience

The Thankful Project

On day 4 of The Thankful Project, the prompt asks us to write about an experience that we are thankful for. I am thankful that I've had the experience of working at a non-profit organization and then also working in corporate america because it has had a direct impact on my faith.
